Welcome
Congratulations!!! You’ve found a truly unique and one-of-a-kind greeting card! Prepare to make a big impression. People love to get cards in the mail, but what happens to them once they are read? Unless they mark a special moment, they probably end up in the trash (or maybe the recycling bin!). When you give a Q Card, it is guaranteed to become a keepsake. Something wondrous is bound to happen- a laugh, a smile, a tear or a hug. So brace yourself!

Doesn't your heart quicken just a bit when you open the mailbox to find a handwritten letter addressed to you? It's seems more exciting when it's not even your birthday and weren't expecting anything but bills. One way to keep the art of letter writing alive is by creating a writing box. A shoe box will do, or you can buy a pretty storage one. The point is that this will be a special container where you will keep everything you need in one place. (Make sure it is out of reach of curious children who are hunting for treasure boxes!) Because it is so portable, you can take your thoughts and supplies to a bench at the park, a quiet coffee house, the public library- almost anywhere. Keep in mind you'll need a flat smooth surface upon which to write. In a pinch the box top can double as a mini desk. Here are ideas for stocking your writing box: - First and foremost, you'll need a slew of Q Cards by Jamie! Friendship, love, life, birthday, sympathy, thank you, humor and just life in general are all great reasons to reach out to someone. Go to http://www.q-cards.com/ and look through the topics list to get some ideas of what cards you'd like to have on hand.
- A pen or two you like to write with. Try out a few in the store before you purchase. Do you prefer ball point or felt tip? Black, blue or another color? Is it comfortable to use? Metal vs. plastic? Heavier vs. lighter? Thick or thin lines? Maybe you'd like a few colored pencils, markers or crayons in case you want to doodle a little, too.
- A variety of postage stamps. With automatic bill pay and online options, many of us don't even use the mail for paying bills anymore and therefore rarely have stamps handy. Some of us haven't mailed a thing in so long that we can't remember how much a stamp costs! (It's 39 cents by the way!!!) There are some really cool stamps available. It's a minor detail, but if you can pick a stamp that goes with the theme or occasion of your message, it's a nice touch. You may also want a few 24 cent stamps for larger envelopes or when sending photos.
- Writing paper. You may feel wordy and want to write more than what will fit on the inside of a card. Instead of loose leaf paper or yellow legal pad paper, find some quality stationery. Hey,this isn't your High School history homework!-Stickers. No Strawberry Shortcake or Batman stickers. You'd be surprised at the nice selection at stores like AC Moore and Michaels. Look in the scrapbooking sections. A sticker or seal on the back of an envelope heightens anticipation of what's inside!
- "Add-ins". Like Cold Stone Creamery, only not so sticky! Sprinkle in a bit of confetti or glitter, dried lavender flowers, sand from your last vacation to the beach, an interesting newspaper clipping, photos, or a freshly fallen autumn leaf. Use your imagination and creativity. Keep them in ziplock baggies in the box so they don't get all mixed up before you have a chance to use them.
- Addresses. If you have all of your addresses in a little book, rather than on your computer or phone, then you can get it all done at once. Make sure addresses are up to date and complete
- How frustrating it is to have it all except the zip code. That card will sit around waiting for the mailbox too long if you have to search for missing information. Have fun and enjoy creating this special space meant for you to connect with others. We'd love to hear your comments or other suggestions regarding this topic!

Summer is ending and we'd like to offer a card for your friend the teacher who is going back to school soon. The quote on the card is "A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops." by Henry Brook Adams. Adams was an intellectual born into the fourth generation of a family of distinguished politicians, diplomats and statesmen that included two presidents of the United States. He lived from 1838 to 1913.
Another of his quotes is "They know enough who know how to learn."
You can purchase these quotes and any other quotes with our purchase page.
